jill tullman
Jill received her Bachelor degree in Communication Disorders from Fontbonne College in St. Louis, Missouri. She received her Master of Science degree from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts in 1992. Jill has spent her career working with individuals who have complex communication needs and rely on augmentative and alternative communication strategies, techniques and speech generating devices. Prior to starting this private practice in 2002, Jill worked in hospital, clinic, and public school settings. Jill works with and consults with families, schools, and intervention teams across Colorado. She regularly speaks at local, national and international conferences.

amy bell
Amy graduated with her Master degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Amy’s experiences include augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and literacy development for children and young adults. Amy is certified in Lee Silvermans’ Voice Training (LSVT), Language!, a research-based literacy training, and PROMPT, a research based approach to helping individuals develop speech who are nonverbal and/or present with severe articulation difficulties. In addition to working for Jill Tullman and Associates, LLC, Amy also works for the Cherry Creek School District.

amy frisbie
Amy received her Bachelor degree from the University of Wisconsin in psychology in 1993 and spent many years working as a youth treatment counselor before earning her Master of Art degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder, in 2001. Since graduating as a Speech-Language Pathologist, she has worked at The Children's Hospital in Denver. Her experiences there have included treating a wide variety of children with speech, language, and cognitive disorders. Specialty areas include evaluating and treating children for augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems, as well as participating in multidisciplinary diagnostic teams in the neuropsychiatric specialty care and child development clinics. Her long time passion is helping individuals with autism spectrum disorders improve their ability to communicate and connect with the world around them. In addition to working for Jill Tullman and Associates, LLC, Amy is the 'Autism Program Specialist' for The Department of Audiology, Speech-Language Pathology and Learning services at The Children's Hospital in Denver.

Amy received her Bachelor degree in Elementary Education from Boston University. Upon graduation, Amy taught second grade for five years. As a general education teacher, Amy enjoyed teaching language and literacy, and decided to pursue a career as a Speech and Language Pathologist. Amy earned her Master of Science degree in Communication Science Disorders from Emerson College in Boston, MA. In addition to working for Jill Tullman and Associates, Amy works as a Speech and Language Pathologist in early childhood education for Cherry Creek Public Schools, where she supports children with a wide range of speech/language and AAC needs within their classroom environments.

Carrie received her Bachelor degree in Communication Science and Disorders at Texas Tech University, and she received her Master of Science Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Pittsburgh. She worked in a center-based autism program and conducted augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) evaluations within a public school setting prior to joining Jill Tullman and Associates, LLC.

Jill received her Master degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Jill’s experiences include augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), speech and language development for children with cleft lip and/or palate, and literacy development for children and young adults. Jill is certified in Lee Silvermans’ Voice Training (LSVT) and Language!, a research-based literacy training. In addition to working for Jill Tullman and Associates, Jill also works in the preschools for the Jefferson Country Public Schools.

karen duerk
Karen received her Master degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Karen worked at The Children’s Hospital, Denver, and she continues to participate in the week-long Talking With Technology Camp, each summer. She also worked in an Early Childhood Education program within a public school setting where she provided augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) interventions and support to students she served. Currently, Karen works at The Joshua School, a private, nonprofit school for children with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities. Karen sees how AAC is a powerful tool for many individuals who have severely impacted language skills.

kate hoover
Kate graduated with her bachelor degree in psychology from the Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana. She received her Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Kate is currently certified in Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling (LETRS), Lee Silvermans’ Voice Training (LVST), and other evidence-based strategies aimed to improve literacy, expressive/receptive language, and social skills. She will also be trained in Language!, a research-based literacy program, this upcoming summer. Additionally, Kate works for the Cherry Creek School District and Spalding, a hospital that specializes in brain injury and stroke rehabilitation.

kristen lindgren
Kristen received her Master of Arts in Communicative Disorders from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. Kristen has worked with both elementary and secondary students in the public schools who have a wide range of speech and language disorders. She has supported both teachers and students with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) needs in the classroom environment. More recently, prior to relocating to Colorado in 2010, Kristen served on her district’s Assistive Technology team where she conducted AAC evaluations and provided training and consultation to families, staff and other Speech-Language Pathologists. In addition to working for Jill Tullman and Associates, Kristen works for Colorado Therapy Associates and at a Skilled Nursing Facility for patients who have Alzheimer’s and dementia.

lara dzwinel
Lara received her Master degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Colorado-Boulder. Lara has worked with a wide range of children with various diagnoses who use augmentative and alternative communication. She is interested in helping children develop their communication skills, language and speech, in both the school and home environments. In addition to working for Jill Tullman and Associates, Lara works for Inspiring Talkers, Talking Together, Inc., and Colorado Home Intervention Program’s early intervention for the deaf and hard of hearing population.

sara hageman
Sara received both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Education from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, majoring in Speech Language Pathology. Upon graduation, Sara worked in a school district in Phoenix, Arizona area where she supported the speech/language and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) needs for students in self-contained classrooms. Prior to moving to Denver and joining Jill Tullman and Associates, LLC, Sara gained experience in the district's Early Childhood Development Program. She worked with children who possessed a wide range of cognitive abilities, using and developing both high tech and low tech AAC communication systems. Her experiences also include collaborating and consulting with professionals, family members and other team members regarding AAC assessment, training and therapeutic intervention in language and communication.

sarah shields
Sarah received her Master degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. While in graduate school, she also completed assistive technology coursework through Assistive Technology Partners, University of Colorado Denver, to keep abreast of current assistive technology. In addition to working for Jill Tullman and Associates, Sarah also works in Denver Public Schools supporting children who have speech and language disorders, including those using augmentative and alternative communication strategies, techniques, and speech generating devices.
